Overview Ham should have been the title. This book is all bones and no meat, and would be a waste of money that even a beginning ham. I would recommend "Ham Radio for Dummies", which in my opinion is the best book out there for beginners and reference.

This is not a book for the 'ragchewer old' or perhaps it is. It is a book for some of us who have forgotten what "ham radio is all, 'or someone who has been to 2 m for ever. This is an excellent book for those who will give an introduction to Ham Radio ', because it is simple, to the point and understandable. This is a great book for anyone interested in "amateur", or perhaps just got his ticket. This is a book of great kiss. Well Done. KB6WUT

A waste of precious shelf space. This is a simple-minded view of amateur radio operation, there is enough content to keep your attention for a long time. The chapter is typical item "Electricity, invisible superhero." Give us a break. Much better are the titles available in American Radio Relay League (see their website).

If you use this book and take practice tests on-line to over constantly have a high probability of passing the test. The best way to learn is to work with the book about 1 / 2 hours a day, not more. Take your time, then the on-line practice tests every day until the test date. Be ready. I think I have only 1 question wrong in my review – and I am certainly not natural in this area.

This book is the cover the best book for those who want to get licensed Ham Radio. Has graphics and pictures, diagrams and charts that help you learn as you go so you can understand the basic skills Ham Radio. It 'easy to read and great for the young reader as well.

I brought this book as a study guide to help my Amateur Radio in Australia. Although this book has all the necessary information, and a dedicated student could obtain the license appeared to be structured in a way that does not allow me to read easily. Perhaps the modern magazine have much to answer, but I like large color diagrams, structured text (with captions, etc), so I can quickly jump on it and then fill in, as I have lost. This book is not discouraged me Geting my license.
